FAQS (Frequently Asked Questions)

These Frequently Asked Questions are intended to assist you in getting the most out of this website. If you still need help, contact the webmaster.

Is this an MLS site?

While most of the properties you see listed here are in the MLS listings, this site is not part of the MLS system. Some of our advertisers may not be part of the MLS system or may have properties not listed on MLS. They can list their properties with us at no charge.

If this is not an MLS site, why did you make it?

To make a long story short, we developed this site to aid our advertisers in creating and updating their Real Estate ads with us. Not only can you find the information that is included in the guide here, you can find all of the listings that our advertisers wish to post online.

Additionally, the guide is cross-referenced with the Real Estate Listings so that you can easily find the information on a property from the guide with one click.

And, if that were not enough, our advertisers can create an online ad formatted exactly the way they want. This system will enable them to send the information electronically and make changes without having to email, phone or fax us.

You said these special features were for your advertisers. Can I see them?

Indirectly. Each publishing period, you will see the result in the online and the printed Real Estate Guide. Only our advertisers have access to this section of the site.

How do the names and capital letters work on the Guide Pages?

Each Guide full size picture also will display the names of our advertisers in the order they are in the page. If any advertiser has a property listing, you will see a capital letter followed by the Listing ID. You can click on the name of the advertiser to see their company information. You can click on the Listing ID to see the details of the listing.

The letters are related to the listing information you see on a page by column and then row, for the most part. Start with the upper left and reading down and then across like this:

A C E
B D F

And so on...

Here is another example:

A
D
E
F
B G
C H

Some pages have is an irregular layout and/or ad. They may have a few listings so you can click on them to discover which is the correct listing/letter. One other possible exception is a page where the advertiser has grouped information mixed in with the listings. Only advertisers and specific listings are identified and can be accessed.

The "Guide" and "Showcase of Homes" appear to work differently. Why?

The Real Estate Guide Online and the Showcase of Homes both parallel the printed version. The first is updated several times a year and the second annually. The "Guide" in integrated with the advertisers and listings but the "Showcase" is not.
